Sixth Edition, published in
2012, as well as the fifteen
championship dances, includes the technique
of the
President’s Daughter’s Waltz,
choreographed by Russ Hesketh for
Alice Clark, daughter of Mr. Wee Kim Wee, Former President of Singapore (1985 to
1993). It
also includes the technique of the Tango Carnaval,
a prize winning tango sequence invented by Russ. This dance is now a popular
social dance in Melbourne. The New Vogue Quickstep
technique (another dance invented by Russ), is also included.
Colour pages and photos are
included (39 colour pages in 146 page book), and the book is published in A5
landscape format for ease of handling on the dance floor.
New vogue is Australian sequence dancing and is the third
competitive style in Australia, attracting as many
participants as standard
(modern ballroom) and Latin American.
